Scales

Seriously, I never use a scale. It just leads to disappointment. Even positive results can lead to negative feelings when they don’t last or even don’t improve. It can really easily become obsessive. It also isn’t an accurate measure of weight loss by itself. It definitely isn’t an accurate measure of sexy. Other methods are more effective for tracking ‘success’ such as measuring with a tape. I prefer the ‘Do my jeans still fit me’, ‘What notch on my belt am I up to’ tactic. And above all don’t forget the ‘Do I feel good/sexy/healthy’ measure? I believe the unit for this is number of winks in the mirror as you walk past. (Go on, try it) Yes it’s o.k to feel sexy, even if you’re not a size two. So go ahead, shake what your momma gave you. (Or something actually sexy and empowering sounding)
